Exclusive specialists in accounting recruitment
Servicing the needs of accounting staff and firms is our entire reason for being. This is the area that we spend all of our time in, and it’s where we know we can—and have—made a positive difference in the work lives of our candidates and the workplaces of our clients.
Whilst ROC Accounting’s area of specialisation is public practice accounting, from time to time we also recruit CFOs, Financial Controllers and Accountants, Management Accountants, and Accounts Officers. See below for a full list of the roles we recruit, and note that we service at almost all levels for each role.

The state of accounting
According to Xero’s State of the Industry Report 2023, more than one-third of firms are struggling to hire experienced team members, while roughly one-quarter of firms are worried about retaining their existing staff. Needless to say, finding high quality employees—and keeping them—is a distinct issue for firms of all sizes.
Furthermore, the majority of accounting practices surveyed by Xero claim that their clients have leaned on them more since the pandemic, and often seek value-add services like app and software setup, HR advisory, and start-up mentoring. In the face of these trends, accounting firms need to recruit workers with wider skillsets and more varied experience than ever before.
In this kind of market, freshly-qualified accounting candidates are empowered to pick and choose opportunities and hold greater bargaining power than usual. This is a familiar cycle to anyone with an interest in economic activity, and it won’t be long until the tables turn in favour of employers instead.
